This Thursday in Southampton

Looking forward to the CRE at the Ageas bowl this Thursday, open from 12.00-6.00 pm.Hoping that I will see some of my friends there plus the opportunity to meet new people.

Exciting new development from New Zealand.

Many, many years ago when we lived in Bedford and I painted the New Generation exhibition, Michael Blake and I became friends through the church. We shared a very interesting, unexpected, sometimes scary but always exciting journey.

As I painted the pictures in relative secrecy(absolutely from Michael), he received the most amazing words from God.
Each specific set of words to accompany each new painting, somehow mirrored or expanded the visuals.
We were amazed at the first few but I started to feel a lack of confidence in my abilities to continue the work,
in case my paintings did not match up to Michael’s words. He, as ever, encouraged me in prayer and fellowship and we made an agreement that I wouldn’t see any more of his work until the whole series was complete.
Now many years later, Michael feels that it is time launch a web page, that he has designed, showing the paintings with accompanying words.

Prepare to be amazed, touched and blessed.

27th Nov 2014 Christian Resourse Exhibition ( south)

I will be at the CRE for the day with my friend Elaine from” Pilgrim Hearts”
It would be great to see you there

Thank you, Manchester! In our two days at EventCity earlier this month just short of 2,500 visitors enjoyed another wide-ranging seminar programme, worshipped and laughed together in the Arts Theatre, enjoyed three art shows and spent time walking around the 210 stands occupied by just short of 190 exhibitors.

We heard lots of happy visitors telling us how much they enjoyed their day at CRE North. We were made very welcome by churches representing many towns and cities in the region and look forward to returning to the North West in 2016.

The next show, the first-ever CRE South is at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton, for one day only – Thursday 27 November 2014. The next two-day show is at Westpoint, Exeter (10 & 11 Feb 2015) followed by the first-ever International CRE at ExCel, London (19-22 May 2015).

What a week.

Recently the Lord has woken me up way before the crack of dawn.Of course it is probably because I have had to go to bed early to rest, as am rather poorly at the moment. But as soon as my eyes are open I have found myself absolutely wide awake.
What is there to do at 2.15 am so as not to wake anyone else up?
I have been frustrated not to be painting in the studio because it would be physically difficult.
However last week I felt prompted to look at some of the photos on my computer to see if they inspired me to start writing again.I have been overwhelmed with the constant stream of words and phrases that have flooded my brain, not only in the small wee hours, but in spells throughout the day.
Five finished pieces and copious notes in just a week.I am trusting that the some of the random phrases are to be included in work ahead of me,almost like small sketches for a painting.
What an interesting journey to start at the beginning of the year!

Writing again in January 2013

Since the new year I have been inspired to start writing again.I have many more photographs, that I have taken over the last few years,to add to the Fresh Glimpse series.I am not sure where it is taking me but am excited by the reality of new challenges for 2013.

Christmas 2012

Wishing you all a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and abundant blessings for the New Year.
My thanks to all my friends who have helped me during this last year, especially in practical ways, but even more importantly for your continued prays.

What a fabulous time we had in Fareham

Thank you so much to all the folk in the Fareham churches that made this event so special.Blessings to everyone who contributed their time and expense. It was wonderful to see the churches working together and building new relationships with each other.Certainly the huge number of people who came to see the paintings were blessed or challenged, including the helpers.I have an idea that things at Holy Trinity may never be the same again.Thank you Lord!
Again,bless you all.

Next year 2012

Painting and drawing

I am spending a lot of time in the studio but not silk painting.
I am in a season of “tent making”

New video on youtube

And the day ends with …

In my eagerness to show my granddaughter (who LOVES horseradish sauce), I went to pull up a root of it with all my might. Imagine my surprise when it suddenly gave way so much more easily than I had anticipated, and I ended up flat on my back amongst the pots in my herbgarden. I had to be rescued by three generations of family – is it worth it for horseradish sauce? YES!!!

You know it’s going to be a mad day when ….

Instead of hairspray, you use polish. My son-in-law tells me I have nice, shiny hair. Am I thinking about painting again ?

Crossroads exhibition

I am really looking forward to putting up the second exhibition at the “Warrior Bride “conference in West End (near Southampton)at the beginning of June.It is exciting to see it out of the studio after such a long time and am thrilled to be part of the conference. Thank you Faith for sharing this amazing vision.

Bromham,What a fabulous time we had.

My thanks to all those many people who worked so hard to make the week at Bromham Baptist church so wonderful.Anne Drake and I felt part of the family there so quickly.People had been praying and working behind the scenes for a long time and God was so faithful to us.We watched as daily God answered our prayers to healing, restoration, salvation and drew many “prodigals” back home.Thank you, all at Bromham, for your committment, hard work, fellowship and friendship.

A new direction!

I and those who know me well, have been amazed at the new things that I have been working on.

Not painting but writing.

As I haven’t seriously written anything worthwhile since my finals a hundred years ago it’s somewhat of a shock!

I’ve taken lots of photographs over the last ten years that’ve just been sitting on my computer, waiting for somebody else to put some words to them. I know very little about photography, just point the camera and click, but these particular images were taken in moments that visually interested or amazed me.

You can access some of them by going to the “A Fresh Glimpse” section of this web page.

If you want a copy, there are A4 prints available.
